My Stampin Up Party

Monday night I had my annual Stampin Up party and I just wanted to show you the cards we made that evening.  I think they are so cute and they were all very easy to make.  My demonstrator is the best and she knows our group likes simple!

A Sunny, Framed Thank you...

I'm so uncreative when it comes to naming my posts but this sums up the challenges related to the card I made for you today!  Simply Crafts challenge is to use the sun cut from the Create-A-Critter cartridge.  I wanted to participate but wasn't sure what kind of card to make with the sun.  Then it dawned on me that I don't necessarily have to use this cut as the sun it could just be used as a decorative element on my card so that's what I did.  The next challenge is BBTB2's Frame challenge.  My frame is cut from Cricut Craft Room's Basics digital cartridge that is free when you use CCR.  I'm having much better luck using CCR and made all my cuts on this card using it - the sun, frame and the thank you from Don Juan.  The last challenge is for HIMCR's NSD Challenges she held last weekend. The 5th challenge is I'm Thankful so I decided to make a thank you card - I am always in need of them and this one could go to a man since I always seem to have only girly cards made up.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Birthday Card

This afternoon I decided to play around with the Cricut Craft Room.  I have Design Studio and love it and I really don't want to learn anything else but since I like some of the digital downloads I thought I would give it a try.  There is a bit of a learning curve but once I figured out some things I think I'm going to like it.  I did have some problems once I tried to cut out my ice cream cone.  It wanted to update my firmware on my Expression which I've done several times before without any problems but it wouldn't work this time and then the craftroom got hung up and I wasn't able to cut out my cone. So the cone ended up being cut from Design Studio anyway.  I guess I will have to cut something from the Craft Room another day!

This card qualifies for the following challenges:

1. BBTB2 -Cricut cut ice cream cone challenge.
2.Party Time Tuesday #66 2 or more ribbon challenge.
3.Simon Says anything goes birthday challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Confirmation Card

I never made a confirmation card and I certainly didn't have much to work with in my vast amounts of Cricut cartridges, stamps, embellishments, etc.  I found a cross in the Designer Calendar Cartridge so I worked with that.  It's simple, but that's okay because my niece liked and appreciated it!

Thanks for stopping by.  It' s been a real challenge to keep up with my blog now that spring is here and there is SO much to do in the yard.

Take care!

Mee Mees Creations

Check out Sharon's blog - Mee Mees Creations.  She's celebrating her two year blogaversary!  Her projects are awesome and she's also very good about leaving me some very nice comments. Some of her comments have kept me going when I thought no one was looking at my blog-she has been very encouraging.  She is also having a giveaway!

Congratulations Sharon!

Butterfly Gift Box

I made this little box to put my mom's gift cards and a few embellishments I got from Joann's for her birthday.  I threw it together really quick as I've been so busy lately.  This qualifies for two challenges this week.  One is Exploring Cricut's It's a Box challenge and Pile it On's Sparkle and Shine challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

For Fun Anything Goes Challenge

For Fun Challenge is having an anything goes challenge where you are suppose to make something to show case another hobby you may have such as baking, sewing, etc.  We can showcase some kind of papercrafting item but not a card.  Other than bicycling, gardening and reading my only other hobbies all involve papercrafting so that's all I have to show you.  But it's a great opportunity to show off the album I made of my niece that I finished last year.  I made it all myself using my bind-it-all machine.

My niece was so cute when she was little and she's turning into a beautiful young woman.  She's 13 so I do have more 5 x 7's to use but my plan is to make another album with her older pictures until she graduates and onces she's on her own I will give them to her.
